Booking for SOMS Pilot can be made by sending email to somspilotmpmc.com.my with the following information:

1.) Vessel's Name
2.) Vessel Type (VLCC, FPSO, LNG, etc)
3.) Callsign
4.) Max Transit Draft in metres
5.) Last port of call
6.) Destination / Next Port of Call
7.) ETA @ Pilot Boarding Position in local time (UTC+8 hours)
8.) Superintendent / Agent / Ship's Email
9.) Superintendent / Agent / Ship's Contact No

The above booking information must be emailed to us at least 7 working days before arrival at boarding position.

SOMS Pilot will board by pilot boat using either the gangway, combination ladder or pilot ladder depending on the prevailing weather condition.

Boarding speed is normally 6 knots or below.
